About the category

What it is

Cobots are lightweight robot arms with force and speed limiting. Where the risk assessment allows, they work next to people without safety fencing. They can be programmed by hand guiding or through a graphical interface, which makes them suitable for companies without their own robotics department.

What companies use them for

  • Tending machine tools, including night and weekend shifts.
  • Packing, palletising and picking at the end of the line.
  • Screwdriving, gluing, sanding and inspection in assembly.
  • Lab and sample handling as well as training and education.

What to look for when buying

  1. Payload including gripper and workpiece, plus reach.
  2. Repeatability and speed to match the cycle time.
  3. Accessory ecosystem: grippers, cameras and software plug-ins.
  4. Safety functions, documentation for CE marking and service near you.

Integration & effortEffort: medium

A cobot is quickly unpacked and programmed; the real work lies in the application: gripper, part feeding, connection to the machine or PLC and the risk assessment for CE marking of the whole cell. Many companies work with a system integrator for this.

Software that fits

Licence details without guarantee — the project’s own licence is authoritative. We can set up and integrate it for you at a fixed price.

Simulation

How it runs in your operation

A simplified, typical sequence — not a recording of a real deployment.

  1. A recurring task with a clear part supply.

  2. Mount the gripper and teach the motions by hand guiding.

  3. Carry out the risk assessment, set speeds and protective zones.

  4. The cobot works at cycle speed; key figures show the benefit.

Brokering

How brokering works

  1. 01Request

Add the product to your request and tell us quantity, goal and timing. Free and without obligation.

  2. 02OROBO checks and obtains the quote

We check your need and intended use, screen buyer and seller against EU and US sanctions lists and obtain the quote from the manufacturer or its dealer. Your contact details only go to the seller with your consent.

  3. 03You buy directly from the manufacturer or its dealer

Contract, payment, delivery and warranty run directly between you and the seller. OROBO is neither seller nor importer and does not accept payments for goods.

Free for you: the seller alone sets the price. OROBO may receive a commission from the seller — on request we tell you whether and how much; it influences neither recommendations nor order. For now we broker for buyers in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Terms § 6b · Disclosure
