About the category

What it is

Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) drive without guide lines in the floor: they map their surroundings with LiDAR and cameras and plan their own route. Depending on the build, they carry bins and shelves, clean floors or deliver food and materials. Fleet software allocates jobs and integrates doors and lifts.

What companies use them for

  • Moving materials between warehouse and production line.
  • Bringing goods to the picker (goods-to-person).
  • Cleaning floors in buildings, halls or clinics.
  • Delivering food, laundry or samples in hotels, restaurants and clinics.

What to look for when buying

  1. Payload, vehicle dimensions and top module: shelf, bin or towing unit.
  2. Personnel protection to the relevant standard with a certified safety scanner.
  3. Open interfaces such as VDA 5050 and connection to your WMS or ERP.
  4. Charging concept, runtime per battery charge and on-site service.

Integration & effortEffort: medium

The manufacturer maps the area, defines stations and routes and sets up doors, lifts and charging points. Connecting to your WMS or ERP and running vehicles from several manufacturers together takes more effort. Plan a trial run in one area before the fleet grows.

Software that fits

Licence details without guarantee — the project’s own licence is authoritative. We can set up and integrate it for you at a fixed price.

Simulation

How it runs in your operation

A simplified, typical sequence — not a recording of a real deployment.

  1. The robot drives through the hall and builds a map.

  2. Your WMS or a button signals: bin from A to B.

  3. It plans the route, avoids people and uses doors.

  4. Drop-off at the destination, confirmation to the system, next job.

Brokering

How brokering works

  1. 01Request

Add the product to your request and tell us quantity, goal and timing. Free and without obligation.

  2. 02OROBO checks and obtains the quote

We check your need and intended use, screen buyer and seller against EU and US sanctions lists and obtain the quote from the manufacturer or its dealer. Your contact details only go to the seller with your consent.

  3. 03You buy directly from the manufacturer or its dealer

Contract, payment, delivery and warranty run directly between you and the seller. OROBO is neither seller nor importer and does not accept payments for goods.

Free for you: the seller alone sets the price. OROBO may receive a commission from the seller — on request we tell you whether and how much; it influences neither recommendations nor order. For now we broker for buyers in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Terms § 6b · Disclosure
